Uganda
A natural estate at the head of the Nile.
EACC establishes conservation and restoration projects and originates projects for carbon developers and sustainable plantation operators using AI-based technologies.

Service
We develop carbon projects across the Conservation Area, build projects for accredited developers, steward concessions in the production zones and run commodity export compliance. Revenue is shared with government, districts and host communities under an audited mechanism.
Technology
We deliver Uganda’s climate market infrastructure on the SAFE Platform. The National Carbon Registry is a state-owned asset and the climate mechanism is digitised.

506 Central Forest Reserves in nine ranges
The permanent forest estate covers about 1.27 million hectares in nine ranges, from the Achwa River in the north to Sango Bay on Lake Victoria, with the tropical high forest of the Albertine Rift in the Budongo System and South West ranges.
Lakes & rivers
The source of the Nile
Lake Victoria, Lake Albert, Lake Kyoga, Lake Edward and Lake George cover nearly a fifth of the country. The Nile leaves Lake Victoria at Jinja, drops through Murchison Falls and flows north into South Sudan.
Wetlands
A tenth of the land, twelve Ramsar sites
Wetlands cover around 30,000 square kilometres of papyrus swamp, floodplain and lakeshore marsh. Twelve are Ramsar sites of international importance, among them Mabamba Bay and the Murchison Falls-Albert Delta.
